  1. The specifications are w/o connector. Other lens sizes can also be customized according to requirements.
  2. For devices with connectors, IL will be 0.3dB higher, RL will be 5dB lower. Power transmits through the connector less than 2W.Measured at the alignment wavelength at 1/2 working distance.
  3. Waist Beam Diameter is measured at the alignment wavelength at 1/2 working distance. The beam diameter of the finished collimator varies when used at different working distances.
  4. When purchasing the collimator, please inform us whether it is used alone or in pairing. If paired, we will pack and ship the paired ones together.

Order information

P/N: COLL-D-②-③-④-⑤-⑥-⑦-⑧-⑨ (D: Dual fiber)

When you inquire, please provide the correct P/N number according to our ordering information and attach the appropriate description would be better. If need any connector, we do not recommend choosing a 250μm bare fiber pigtail.

Some reminders about collimators

2000nm Polarization Maintaining Single Fiber Collimator

1.Definition of working distance:
If used for pairing, it is the distance between two lenses.
If used alone, it is twice the distance between the lens and the target object.

2. Waist Beam Diameter: Ideally, it mostly refers to the spot diameter at the waist position (1/2 working distance).

3.Once the C-lens collimator is produced, the waist position has already been fixed, so measuring the spot diameter at different positions will have different values waist beam diameter. So the C-lens collimator cannot be considered a true collimator, it can only be considered a type of focusing device. Some parameters of the collimator, such as divergence angle, focal length, etc., are not applicable to C-lens collimators. When we make conventional collimators, we only consider the working distance, and the spot diameter is generally less than 0.5mm, unless we design C-lenses separately.

4.Back Focal Length: The distance between the lens and the end-cap(glass ferrule). By changing the back focal length of C-lens, the position of the waist can be adjusted within a certain range, resulting in different working distances.
